On the 24th, the domestic artificial intelligence (AI) startup Persona AI announced that it has broadcast news without interruption for 24 hours a day for six months without human intervention.

Based on this, the company noted that it is on the verge of receiving official record certification from the Korea Record Institute (KRI) in the "longest continuous news broadcast by generative AI" institutional sector.

This system is a fully automated AI broadcasting system that collects text news articles, with AI directly generating video, subtitles, and audio, broadcasting them in real-time through a YouTube channel. Since its launch in January this year, the broadcast has continued for over six months without a single interruption.

The core technology is a real-time collaborative structure of three types of generative AI engines developed independently by Persona AI. AI performs everything from video production, narration, to inserting subtitles, without any human intervention.

The Korea Record Institute will issue an official record certificate after reviewing whether the news generated by AI conforms to the dictionary definition of the Korean language and whether the broadcast actually lasted for 24 hours.

CEO Yoo Seung-jae said, "AI is ushering in an era where simple repetitive tasks are taken over, allowing people to focus on more creative areas," and noted, "This project is a case that proves the practical applicability of generative AI."
