According to Ecopro on the 22nd, CEO Song noted during an online management briefing on the 16th, "Thanks to the growth of the European electric vehicle market, shipments are gradually increasing."

He said, "We should actively pursue customer diversification through a diverse product portfolio in the second half of the year." He also noted, "With the success of the Indonesia project, we will establish vertical integration to secure differentiated price competitiveness."

Ecopro is building a value chain that extends from nickel smelting to precursors, cathode materials, and recycling in Indonesia. Through this, the company aims to achieve vertical integration and secure price competitiveness against low-cost batteries from China.

CEO Song stated, "Overall, the group aims to diversify its portfolio beyond secondary batteries into other industries and is considering various ways in which the holding company Ecopro can transition into a business holding company."

Ecopro Group is working to overcome the crisis by forming a task force (TF) centered around Ecopro BM, ECOPRO Materials, and Ecopro HN to diversify its customer base.
