LG Energy Solution announced on the 22nd that it held a recruitment event called the Battery Tech Conference (BTC) in Europe to secure global research and development talent.
The BTC was held on the 21st (local time) in Frankfurt, Germany. This is the first time BTC was held in Europe.
Twenty-five master's and doctoral students selected from major science and engineering universities and research institutions in Europe, including Imperial College London, the University of Oxford, ETH Zurich, University College London, and École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, attended the event.
At LG Energy Solution, key executives, including CEO Dong-myung Kim, CTO Je-young Kim, CDO Jin-kyu Lee, and CHO Gi-soo Kim, attended the event.
At the event, CEO Kim shared his experiences from joining LG as a materials engineering Ph.D. to his roles in research and development, divisional management, and planning, ultimately becoming CEO, engaging directly with the attendees.
A representative from LG Energy Solution noted, "We will further accelerate efforts to secure global research and development talent with world-class capabilities through BTC events in the United States and Europe, and we will continue our unwavering efforts to seize talent that will lead 'challenges and leaps', along with expanding investments in research and development and next-generation future technologies."
