The Small Enterprise Market Promotion Agency (SEMAS) announced on the 20th that it has held the launch ceremony for the "2025 SEMAS Youth Innovation Council" at its Daejeon headquarters and has commenced its activities.
The Youth Innovation Council consists of 20 members with excellent work attitudes among the non-regular employees below Level 4 of the agency. It will operate by integrating the existing internal innovation organizations, "MZ Board" and "Innovation Leaders."
Last year, the MZ Board identified 18 major institutional issues, of which 14 were reflected in practical operations. The Innovation Leaders created a work guide utilizing generative artificial intelligence (AI) ChatGPT for internal staff to enhance work efficiency. Based on this, the Youth Innovation Council aims to achieve customer-centered innovative administration and generate results that the public can feel this year.
At the event the previous day, members divided into four teams to identify management innovation and business innovation tasks, and through overall presentations, derived eight key projects. The newly identified key projects are set to be refined through online and offline meetings by November. Following this, they plan to participate in government awards and external competitions to spread their achievements.
Park Sung-hyo, the director of SEMAS, said, "The innovative perspectives and challenging proposals of the Youth Innovation Council will be the core driving force that will lead the future of the organization," adding, "Since creativity starts from extraordinary combinations of ordinary things, it is necessary to have a perspective that views problems in a new light in each individual's daily work."
