On the 20th, Namsun Aluminum's automotive division, a subsidiary of SM Group, announced that it has obtained the ISO 45001 certification for its international standard for occupational health and safety management systems.
ISO 45001 is an international standard aimed at managing and eliminating risks at business sites to protect worker safety, evaluated and certified by the Korea Quality Foundation.
Namsun Aluminum has been recognized for excellence in safety management across all processes, including the design, development, and production of automotive plastic parts such as bumpers and rocker panels.
Namsun Aluminum explained that it has established a management system for quality, eco-friendliness, and safety with the ISO 45001 certification, along with being named GM Korea's Supplier of the Year and obtaining the Integrated Environmental Permit from the Ministry of Environment.
Jeong Soon-won, the CEO of Namsun Aluminum's automotive division, said, "I believe that the realization of sustainable growth comes from a safe and comfortable workplace," and added, "We will continue to pursue management that balances safety, quality, and environmental values."
