Kia launched the model year change versions of its flagship sedans, 'The 2026 K5' and 'The 2026 K8', on the 19th.

A new trim called 'Best Selection' has been added to this model, equipped with various safety and convenience features preferred by customers.

The K5 Best Selection trim includes ▲Forward collision-avoidance assist (oncoming vehicles at intersections and head-on collisions) ▲Rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist (while exiting) ▲Rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist ▲Smart cruise control (stop and go) ▲Safe exit assist ▲Navigation-based smart cruise control (for safe sections on highways and exclusive roads, and curved roads) ▲Highway driving assist, among other advanced driver-assistance features.

The K8 Best Selection trim includes ▲18-inch machined front wheels ▲Rear double-laminated soundproof glass ▲Dynamic ambient light ▲Suede headlining as standard. In addition, premium convenience features like ▲Surround view monitor ▲Rear blind spot monitor ▲Remote smart parking assist ▲Smart power trunk ▲Wireless smartphone charging system (dual) ▲Ventilated passenger seat ▲Auto defogger, as well as safety features like ▲Rear parking collision-avoidance assist ▲Side parking distance warning have also been added.

On that day, Kia also revealed its sales prices. The K5 2.0 gasoline model is priced between 27.24 million won and 35.46 million won, and the 2.0 hybrid model is listed at 32.14 million won to 38.68 million won. The K8 2.5 gasoline model is priced between 36.97 million won and 48.29 million won, while the 1.6 turbo hybrid model ranges from 42.06 million won to 50.52 million won. All prices reflect a 3.5% special consumption tax, and the hybrid model pricing includes eco-friendly vehicle tax benefits.

A Kia official noted, 'This K5 and K8 expand customer choice with the new Best Selection trim that offers preferred specifications at a reasonable price,' adding, 'Based on enhanced product competitiveness, we will continue to provide differentiated sedan value to customers.'
