KG Mobility (www.kg-mobility.com, hereafter referred to as KGM) announced on the 19th that it will reveal the key specifications and price range of the newly launched "ACTYON HYBRID" and begin pre-contracting at nationwide dealerships.
The ACTYON HYBRID is KGM's second hybrid model following the Torres Hybrid, which was launched in March, and is set to launch in mid-July.
The selling price of the ACTYON HYBRID (with a 3.5% excise tax and environmentally friendly vehicle tax benefits included) is expected to be set in the range of 36.5 to 37.5 million won, which is about 2 million won more expensive than the gasoline model, while incorporating numerous convenience and safety features as standard, such as a 12.3-inch KGM Link navigation system, Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control (IACC), Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and a Smart Power Tailgate.
Adding the Deep Control Package II (650,000 won) and a 3D Around View Monitoring System (1.1 million won) will allow you to become an owner of a mid-sized hybrid SUV for around 38 million won. Additional options include △Alpine audio system (620,000 won) △Panoramic sunroof (1.2 million won) △Michelin noise-reducing tires (600,000 won) △Two-tone exterior package (410,000 won), among others.
The ACTYON HYBRID features a 'Dual Tech Hybrid System' equipped with a series-parallel dual motor. This system, already applied in the Torres Hybrid, is praised for its class-leading fuel efficiency and excellent driving performance, and is recognized as one of the closest hybrids to electric vehicles among domestic models.
Additionally, the ACTYON HYBRID applies a hybrid-exclusive dual-motor transmission, e-DHT (efficiency-Dual motor Hybrid Transmission), which optimally adjusts among 9 driving modes such as △EV mode △Serial mode △HEV (series-parallel) mode △Parallel mode based on road conditions and vehicle status, allowing for urban driving in electric mode up to 94% (according to CVS-75 test), providing an experience of electric vehicle efficiency and quietness.
As a result, it achieved a combined fuel economy improvement of 36.4% to 15 km/ℓ (based on 20-inch wheel/Nexen tire) compared to the ACTYON gasoline model, with urban fuel economy of 15.8 km/ℓ (based on 20-inch wheel/Michelin tire), which is an impressive 58% improvement. This is significantly higher than the 30% level of competing models equipped with 20-inch wheels, maximizing practical value for urban SUVs.
In addition, the ACTYON HYBRID is equipped with the largest capacity battery among domestic hybrid models at 1.83 kWh, as well as a low-voltage LFP battery optimized for hybrids, allowing for semi-permanent use, while the large-capacity motor of 130 kW (177 horsepower) enables dynamic driving typical of electric vehicles.
Furthermore, sound-absorbing materials are applied to the engine room, engine cover, and wheelhouse to enhance quietness, while noise-reducing 20-inch tires block road noise and tire resonance sounds, and upgrades to shock absorbers (SFD, Smart Frequency Damping) ensure a level of quietness and stable ride comfort befitting a hybrid.
The ACTYON HYBRID combines the beautiful style of a coupe with the inherent usability of an SUV, along with practical interior space that the whole family can enjoy, and a generous 652 ℓ trunk space, making it perfect for daily use. Additionally, various convenience and safety features come standard, including △20-inch diamond-cut wheels & 245/45R20 Nexen tires △natural leather quilted seat package △smart power tailgate (including kick motion sensor) △8 airbags △wireless software update (OTA).
KGM is conducting an event providing various benefits to customers who pre-contract the ACTYON HYBRID.
Customers who complete the pre-contract and take delivery by August will receive the 'The Gentle Care Program' and the 'Deferred Installment Financing Program.' The Gentle Care Program includes comprehensive services such as initial quality consultation, maintenance appointment assistance, free inspections for new cars, and free engine oil exchanges, while the Deferred Installment Financing Program minimizes economic burdens, allowing customers to purchase KGM hybrids (ACTYON & Torres) with reasonable monthly payments in the 100,000 won range.
Additionally, KGM will provide a free upgrade worth 600,000 won to noise-reducing Michelin tires to the first 50 customers who take delivery by August 31, provided they have a history of purchasing from KGM.
