Chairman Kim noted to employees, "The global economic slowdown and rapid market paradigm shifts have put the materials and energy industries in a management environment that is more complex and unpredictable than ever before," and urged them to "focus on strengthening technology and quality competitiveness based on constant innovation while making every effort to reduce costs and improve factory efficiency."

Chairman Kim first visited the promotional hall, received a briefing on the overall operation of the plant, and then moved to the field to inspect key production facilities. He later visited the Daesan Plant's disaster prevention center to observe the digital map disaster prevention system and a real-time deployment training demonstration based on RMS.

Hanwha TotalEnergies Daesan Plant covers an area of 3.3 million square meters (approximately 1 million pyeong) and is unique among domestic and international petrochemical companies in that it has a crude oil refining facility (CFU), NCC, production facilities for petrochemical products, and a research institute all within a single complex.

After touring the main facilities of the plant, Chairman Kim said, "By visiting the site today, I could vividly feel your pride in the capabilities and technological prowess that have safely and efficiently operated the integrated petrochemical complex, along with your passionate commitment." He continued, "Safety is a value we must never overlook; it is the most fundamental competitiveness that transcends any technology or strategy and is the power that enables sustainable growth."

Chairman Kim commented on the carbon capture pilot facility CCU, which is gaining attention as a key technology for carbon neutrality, saying, "The development of future materials and energy technologies such as carbon capture and utilization will go beyond the sustainable development of our Hanwha Group and will elevate Korea's national status to a higher level."

Chairman Kim also conveyed a message of solid trust to the employees of Hanwha TotalEnergies, stating, "For those who take bold challenges, there are always new opportunities," and added, "I will be a strong support for Hanwha TotalEnergies, which plays a major role in the group's energy and materials industry, for its new leap forward."
