KG Mobility plans to unveil seven new models, including practical expanded sports utility vehicles (SUVs) and multipurpose vehicles (MPVs), by 2030. Starting with a hybrid system touted as 'an electric vehicle that doesn't need to be charged,' the company plans to further develop extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) technology.

On the 17th, KG Mobility held the 'KGM Forward' event at its headquarters in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, attended by over 200 employees and analysts, where it announced its mid- to long-term roadmap.

First, KG Mobility decided to expand practical and environmentally friendly models, which are globally preferred. The company plans to focus on developing new cars that merge design based on its brand strategy of 'practical creativity' with environmentally friendly powertrains, aiming to continue the heritage of models like the Korando and Musso in SUV development. A KG Mobility official noted, 'We will solidify our position in the pickup market by completing a full lineup of powertrains centered around the Musso brand while also entering new segments like MPVs.'

KG Mobility plans to launch the mid-size and large SUV 'SE10' in the second half of next year and will sequentially unveil seven new models, including the 'KR10,' by 2030.

To enhance future mobility technology, KG Mobility will also strengthen collaboration with global partners. Last year, KG Mobility signed a strategic partnership and platform licensing agreement with China's Chery Automobile, intensifying joint development of mid-size and large SUVs and advanced technology. The SE10 marks the first joint project with Chery. The concept car 'F100,' showcased at the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show, is being developed using Chery's 'T2X' platform with a goal for completion next year.

KG Mobility also announced that it has developed a hybrid system under the concept of 'an electric vehicle that doesn't need to be charged,' realizing performance and efficiency equivalent to that of an electric vehicle without the hassle of charging. KG Mobility plans to continuously introduce electrified models that combine practicality and technological prowess, starting with the hybrid system and expanding to EREV technology in the future.

On that day, KG Mobility previewed the launch of the 'Actyon Hybrid' and disclosed some specifications. This model boasts an urban fuel efficiency of 15.8 km per liter, one of the best levels in its class. It is expected to be sold at around 37 million won (approximately $27,000) based on the price after applying a special consumption tax of 3.5% and tax benefits.
