YJ Link, a smart factory specialized corporation in surface mount technology, announced on the 16th that it has signed a supply contract for electronic circuit board (PCB) transfer equipment with Foxconn, the world's largest electronics manufacturing service (EMS) company, worth approximately 2.2 billion won.
Surface mount technology is the key process that makes electronic products smaller and more precise by attaching electronic components directly to the circuit board. The PCB is a core component of electronic products that connects various electronic components. It serves the role of transmitting electrical signals.
Foxconn has adopted YJ Link's high-speed and high-precision transfer method to manufacture PCB modules for mobile phones directly at its production base in India.
As a result, YJ Link has secured Foxconn as a client after supplying to global big tech companies such as Tesla, SpaceX, and Harman.
A representative from YJ Link noted, "It is significant to participate in the expansion of the facilities at the Foxconn plant being promoted in India," adding, "We need to complete the delivery of related equipment, including SMT, by the end of this month, and a three-year warranty period will apply to each piece of equipment, leading to revenue from maintenance and parts supply as well."
With the successful acquisition of this Foxconn India project, YJ Link anticipates continued orders for expansions in other regions of Foxconn. Foxconn has also announced an investment plan of approximately 610 billion won in Houston, Texas.
Park Soon-il, the representative of YJ Link, said, "Collaboration with Foxconn means that our smart logistics solutions have resonated in the global EMS market," adding, "We aim to expand our orders to the U.S. plant and realize customer value in the two major bases of North America and India."
