Hyundai Motor Group said on the 12th that it held the 'CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Insight Day' on the 10th and 11th at the Rolling Hills Hotel in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, to discover new social contribution projects.
About 80 people attended the event, which was jointly organized by Hyundai Motor Group, World Vision, and the Community Chest of Korea, including CSR representatives from the group and external partner organizations.
Previously, Hyundai Motor Group solicited ideas in four areas: mobility, barrier-free, safety, and eco-friendliness, targeting external partner organizations such as non-governmental organizations and social ventures. Eight organizations were selected after review from 51 institutions to present their ideas.
In the mobility sector, ideas included ▲expanding urban mobility using public notices (Creating Walkable Cities Citizen Coalition) ▲accessible play areas (Save the Children), while in the barrier-free sector, the ideas presented included ▲improving the environment for special needs classes (Warm Journey) ▲enhancing information accessibility for visually impaired individuals (Korea Blind Union) ▲creating barrier-free Olle Trail courses for those with walking difficulties (Jeju Olle).
In the eco-friendly sector, ideas were presented for ▲creating eco-friendly specialized spaces (Green Umbrella Child Fund), while in the safety sector, ideas included ▲producing and distributing safe and lightweight hand carts (Lovely Paper) ▲preventing accidents for elderly motorcycle riders (Let's Go Catch Stars).
Hyundai Motor Group plans to review the business feasibility of the ideas proposed during this CSR Insight Day and will offer additional support as needed. A representative of Hyundai Motor Group noted, 'We will continue our efforts to create a sustainable future by expanding business opportunities with various partner organizations.'
