ExxonMobil's subsidiary in South Korea, Mobil Korea Lubricants Co., Ltd. (co-represented by Lo Ra Eun-sook, Jo Jung-rae, hereinafter referred to as Mobil Korea), announced that its commercial vehicle engine oil brand, 'Mobil Delvac™,' has celebrated its 100th anniversary this year.
Launched in 1925 with the commercialization of diesel engines, Mobil Delvac has established itself as one of the world’s most trusted lubricants for commercial vehicles by providing new standards for the performance and durability of diesel engines through technological innovations over the past 100 years.
Starting as a lubricant exclusively for early diesel vehicles, Mobil Delvac is now supplied as a core lubricant across various industries, including logistics, transportation, and construction. In particular, it has gained the trust of truck maintenance artisans and the industry worldwide based on its high-performance formula that reliably protects engines under extreme weather conditions and heavy load operating conditions. Its economic efficiency is also outstanding, widely used in various commercial vehicles from high-end models to popular types.
To commemorate the 100th anniversary, ExxonMobil will launch a global campaign highlighting significant moments such as the brand’s major technological achievements and customer success stories until the end of this year. Through this, they plan to introduce the stories of customers, partners, and research and development personnel who have contributed to the industry's progress alongside Mobil Delvac, as well as run radio advertisements for the 100th anniversary in South Korea and release limited-edition products with emblems.
David Hergenrether, vice president of ExxonMobil's lubricants institutional sector, noted, "Mobil Delvac consistently performs at its best every day with our customers and maintains the highest standards to partner with the best," adding that, "This 100th anniversary is an opportunity to reflect on the past century and to reaffirm our commitment to continuous innovation to surpass future challenges."
