The Small Enterprise and Market Service (SEMAS) announced on the 10th that it has passed the post-audit for the international standard information security certifications 'Information Security Management System (ISO/IEC 27001:2022)' and 'Personal Information Protection Management System (ISO/IEC 27701:2019)' for two consecutive years.
'Information Security Management System' and 'Personal Information Protection Management System' are the highest authority international standards in the field of information security established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
This audit can evaluate whether the organization’s overall information security level meets international standards. The post-audit this time focused on the operational results and internal improvement measures over the year since obtaining the two certifications in May of last year.
In addition, it received recognition for its practical personal information protection capabilities through the establishment of a management system covering the entire process of managing, collecting, storing, and disposing of personal information.
Park Seong-hyo, the director of SEMAS, noted, 'The maintenance of international standard certification signifies that a practical information security system is in operation beyond mere formal procedures' and 'We will continue to enhance our systems and personnel to set an example for information security and continuously strengthen our administrative and technical security levels to secure public trust.'
