Hankook Tire & Technology Co., Ltd. (CEO An Jong-seon, Lee Sang-hoon)'s electric vehicle dedicated all-weather tire 'iON FlexClimate' has secured first place in the 'Electric Vehicle Dedicated All-Season Tire Test' conducted by the influential German automotive magazine 'Auto Bild'.
This test was conducted on electric vehicle dedicated all-season tires in the 245/45 R19 specification from three global brands, including Hankook Tire. The tires were mounted on the Hyundai electric sedan 'Ioniq 6', and various driving conditions, including wet roads, dry roads, snowy roads, and icy roads, were assessed based on braking power, steering performance, wear durability, noise, ride comfort, and energy efficiency, among 10 total categories, to evaluate tire performance and driving stability.
According to the test results, 'iON FlexClimate' demonstrated stable driving performance and excellent energy efficiency in all tests, earning a 'very good' rating and securing first place in the test. Notably, it showed overwhelming superiority in six categories, including hydroplaning, handling, braking power, and rolling resistance, proving its technology as the best electric vehicle dedicated tire, surpassing renowned brands such as Michelin.
In the overall assessment, 'Auto Bild' evaluated the 'iON FlexClimate' product as a tire that provides superior driving in dynamic and balanced performance in any weather.
