Jeju Air announced on the 8th that it conducted its 26th overseas medical volunteer activity in Cebu, Philippines, from the 4th to the 9th of this month.
A total of 34 volunteers, including employees of Jeju Air, medical personnel from the Korean Open Doctors Society, and volunteers recruited through Jeju Air’s official social media, provided free medical consultations, prescriptions, and basic health education to residents of Talisay, Mandaue, and Lapu-Lapu.
The medical specialties included emergency medicine, orthopedic surgery, rehabilitation medicine, dentistry, and traditional Korean medicine. In addition to basic health consultations considering local circumstances, they also provided guidance on health management methods that can be practiced in daily life.
Since 2023, Jeju Air has newly organized an overseas medical volunteer team that includes customers and employees. the Korean Open Doctors Society has been collaborating on volunteer activities in Asian regions where Jeju Air operates, including Vietnam, Thailand, and Laos, since signing a business agreement in 2011.
A representative from Jeju Air said, “Genuine social contribution activities are indeed a way for corporations and society to grow together,” and noted, “We will continue to practice sustainable sharing in collaboration with the local community by utilizing various resources.”
