Doosan Enerbility is reported to be reviewing the sale of its Vietnamese subsidiary, Doosan Vina.
According to reports from the heavy industry sector on the 5th, Doosan Enerbility is said to be in discussions regarding the sale of Doosan Vina with HD Hyundai. The sale price is being negotiated at under 400 billion won.
Doosan Vina is a company established in Vietnam in 2006 by Doosan Heavy Industries, the predecessor of Doosan Enerbility. The main business is coal-fired power plant boilers.
Doosan Enerbility is reportedly reviewing the sale of Doosan Vina while pursuing a restructuring of its business portfolio, focusing on future growth areas such as nuclear power, small modular reactors (SMR), and gas turbines.
A representative of Doosan Enerbility noted, “We are reviewing the sale of Doosan Vina and other matters, but nothing has been finalized.”
