The Korea Startup Promotion Agency is publicly recruiting corporations for the open innovation program 'InnoWave,' which is conducted as part of the 'Super Gap Startup 1000+ Project.'

According to the Korea Startup Promotion Agency on 4th, the Super Gap Project is a five-year initiative from 2023 to 2027 aimed at selecting over 1,000 excellent deep tech startups that will lead the future of the national economy in ten key new industry sectors, including artificial intelligence (AI), and nurturing them into global unicorns. Corporations wishing to participate can apply from this day until the 27th.

InnoWave is a collaborative platform that realizes open innovation by combining the innovative technological capabilities of super gap startups with the testing environments and commercialization infrastructure of demand corporations.

Operating since last year, the Super Gap Project is a unified open innovation program that is now in its second round. Last year, a total of 18 corporations were selected to support proof of concept (PoC) with demand corporations. By this year, 604 corporations have been selected and are being nurtured.

This recruitment of demand corporations includes public sector entities such as public institutions, public enterprises, and local governments in order to allow for large-scale demonstrations in sectors including ▲ private large and medium-sized enterprises ▲ transportation ▲ energy ▲ medical ▲ environment. Based on this, the policy is to support startups in expanding their technologies into public infrastructure and service areas.

Additionally, in collaboration with the Seoul Economic Promotion Agency, there are plans to hold a meeting in July to provide the results of the demand corporation recruitment to startups for exploring mutual collaboration partnerships and forming a one team.
