Volvo Car Korea (CEO Lee Yoon-mo) announced that its next-generation premium electric SUV 'EX30' won the 'Innovation Electric Vehicle' award selected by judges at the '4th EV Awards 2025' held on the 4th.

The 'EV Awards 2025,' now in its fourth year, is the highest authority in the domestic EV industry and takes place during 'EV Trend Korea 2025,' the largest electric vehicle exhibition in Korea. This year's awards covered electric vehicles released in Korea from February 2024 to March 2025, awarding titles such as 'Korea's Electric Vehicle of the Year,' 'Consumer-selected Electric Vehicle of the Year,' and 'Innovation Electric Vehicle selected by judges.' The winning models will be displayed in a special exhibition during the 'EV Trend Korea 2025' event.

The Volvo EX30 has achieved the honor of being selected as the 'Electric Vehicle of the Year selected by judges,' surpassing fierce competitors. In particular, the EX30 demonstrated its competitiveness in the electric vehicle market by earning high scores from a judging panel composed of professors and lawyers related to automobiles and mobility, as well as experts from relevant associations.

Lee Man-sik, executive director of Volvo Car Korea, noted, "I take great significance in the recognition of the EX30's innovation at the highest authority EV Awards in Korea," adding, "In the future, Volvo Car Korea will strive to provide innovative mobility experiences through various efforts."

The Volvo EX30 is a next-generation premium electric SUV designed for the popularization of premium electric vehicles. Following its global market debut in 2024, it set a record as the number one selling premium brand electric vehicle in Europe last year, establishing itself as a new global best-selling model.

In Korea, since its launch in February, it soared to the top of the European brand electric vehicle sales with 478 units sold in March's import car sales tally. The EX30 sold in Korea is equipped with cutting-edge safety features and premium convenience specifications, ensuring the best product value in its class. It has been praised for being launched at a price more than 20 million won lower than in major global markets such as Sweden, Germany, and the United Kingdom, achieving price competitiveness.
