The Korean Women Entrepreneurs Association requested President Lee Jae-myung to strengthen the nurturing and support for women-owned corporations. It emphasized that the femtech (female+technology) industry should be designated as a women-specialized industry and strategically developed.
The Women Entrepreneurs Association stated on the 4th through a commentary, "The importance of women-owned corporations in overcoming the structural crisis of low growth, low birth rates, and aging is increasing day by day," and noted, "The new government should recognize women-owned corporations as a strategic asset for the growth of the national economy and the establishment of a sustainable society, and actively engage in nurturing and supporting women-owned corporations."
According to the Women Entrepreneurs Association, there are 3.26 million women-owned corporations in the country, accounting for over 40% of all corporations, and they have grown as a pillar of the Korean economy.

It further noted, "The femtech industry, which is a cutting-edge composite industry concentrated with the latest technologies such as biotech and AI and also contributes to solving the low birth rate issue, should be designated as a women-specialized industry and strategically developed."
Additionally, it stated, "We need to establish a systematic foundation that allows capable young women entrepreneurs to balance pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting with corporate activities without career interruptions."
