Hyundai Motor Group attended the 'World Mobility Conference (WMC) 2025' from the 3rd (local time) for three days at the Catalonia Congress Center in Barcelona, Spain, it said on the 4th.

During this year's conference, Hyundai Motor Group will present the group's future technology vision and operate exhibition programs. FISITA is an academic organization alliance with participation from automotive engineering societies in 36 countries worldwide. The conference, WMC, occurs biennially and serves as a platform for about 2,000 people to share technology.

On the first day of the event, Hyundai Motor President Jose Munoz said, "Hyundai Motor Group is expanding the boundaries of mobility technology to create a future where humanity can move more safely and conveniently," adding, "It is very meaningful to share Hyundai's future mobility development journey." He then shared the status of technology development including manufacturing automation systems of Hyundai Motor Group MetaPlant America (HMGMA), autonomous driving, battery and fuel cell systems, and HTWO hydrogen charging stations in the U.S.

Starting from the following day, the 4th, researchers from Hyundai and Kia will introduce partnership cases in Europe and hold a special session to showcase mobility technologies developed in collaboration with partners. In addition, excellent papers on various topics such as battery, thermal management, and autonomous driving will be presented.

Meanwhile, Kim Chang-hwan, vice president in charge of electrification energy solutions at Hyundai and Kia, has been elected as the first Korean president of FISITA, beginning a two-year term this year. Vice President Kim noted, "FISITA plays a significant role in leading the future through global collaboration, innovation, and inclusive leadership," and stated, "I will do my best during my term to ensure that advancements in technology contribute to improving the lives of humanity."
