Small Enterprise & Market Service (SEMAS) announced that it completed organizational restructuring on the 21st of last month to strengthen the field response system for small businesses and traditional markets centered around regional headquarters, and executed personnel appointments on the 2nd.

According to this restructuring, the organization of SEMAS has changed from the previous 7 headquarters, 1 research institute, 23 divisions, and 8 regional headquarters to 7 headquarters, 1 research institute, 23 divisions, and 12 regional headquarters.

First, to establish a regional hub-oriented business system tailored to the characteristics of each metropolitan local government, four new regional headquarters were established through the separation of regions. The existing Incheon and North Gyeonggi regional headquarters have been separated into Incheon and North Gyeonggi, the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam regional headquarters into Busan-Ulsan and Gyeongnam, the Gwangju-Honam regional headquarters into Gwangju, Jeonnam, Jeju, and Jeonbuk, and the Daejeon-Chungcheong regional headquarters into Daejeon-Sejong-Chungnam and Chungbuk.

In addition, the Uijeongbu Center was elevated to the North Gyeonggi regional headquarters, the Changwon Center to the Gyeongnam regional headquarters, the Jeonju Center to the Jeonbuk regional headquarters, and the Cheongju Center to the Chungbuk regional headquarters to establish a hub-centered business system.
