'2025 Weverse Con Festival' was held from May 31 to June 1 at the Inspire Arena and Discovery Park in Jung-gu, Incheon.
The Weverse Con Festival is a K-pop festival to enjoy performances by various artists featured on the HYBE fandom platform 'Weverse.'
Now in its third year, the Weverse Con Festival featured 27 teams of artists from the HYBE fan platform 'Weverse' and took place on the largest scale ever.
The scene at the Weverse Con Festival on the 31st was bustling with fans' enthusiasm. At 1 p.m., one hour before the performances began, fans who had secured their spots early in the morning to see their favorite singers were crowded at Discovery Park, where 'Weverse Park Day' was taking place. The crowd filled the park, estimated to be about 300 to 400 people. From a 9-year-old boy who came with his mother to a high school student who came with another fan they met for the first time, and fans in their 20s visiting from abroad, people of various ages were eagerly waiting for the artists.
Another notable aspect of this event was the expansion of the offline experience into online events. This year, following the existing 'Weverse Queue,' an experiential event called 'Stamp Tour' was held both online and offline. Fans earn 'stamps' for participating in experiences, such as sending support messages to their favorite artists via Weverse or taking photos at photo spots on-site, and can receive gifts by collecting three or more stamps. On that day, fans gathered in groups at Discovery Park to take photos in front of structures with the names of their favorite singers written on them as they sought to collect stamps.
Various online events also continued for fans unable to attend the venue. HYBE streamed the performances from both Weverse Park Day and Night, as well as the Weverse Con stage, online through the Weverse platform.
A 'listening party' featuring hit songs of the artists performing at the Weverse Con Festival was also held on the Weverse platform from the 27th to the 29th. After the event, a listening party will be conducted with a festival setlist featuring the voices of the artists on stage.
HYBE's simultaneous online and offline experience is seen as a way to lock in fans to the platform and utilize content in various ways.
Professor Seong Jin of the Department of Media Entertainment at Sogang University noted, 'In content business, utilizing one resource in various places through 'OSMU (one source multi use)' and publishing content in various places after creation through 'COPE (Create Once, Publish Everywhere)' is very important,' adding, 'By providing the concert content in various ways on the 'Weverse' fan platform, it is interpreted as a strategy to create added value and enhance platform usage by offering diverse experiences to fans.'
