BlackBerry is a Canadian cybersecurity and communication software corporation, while L3 Harris MAPPS specializes in integrated platform automation and high-performance simulation solutions for the maritime defense energy industry.

The signing ceremony took place at the CANSEC (Canada’s Global Defence & Security Trade Show) defense exhibition held in Ottawa, Canada, attended by Michael Coulter, chief executive officer (CEO) of Hanwha Global Defense, among other representatives.

Through this MOU, Hanwha Ocean will collaborate with BlackBerry in the field of cybersecurity and with L3 Harris in integrated simulation and platform automation.

Hanwha Ocean expects that the two corporations it has signed the MOU with have extensive experience working with the Canadian Navy, which will greatly aid in winning contracts in the Canadian submarine business.

Michael Coulter noted, “There is potential for limitless synergy in the collaboration between BlackBerry and L3 Harris,” and added, “With this MOU, Hanwha Ocean will actively build a partnership with its partners and contribute significantly to strengthening the relations between Korea and Canada.”
