Samsung Heavy Industries announced on the 30th that it will participate in the maritime and energy exhibition "Nor-shipping 2025" to be held in Oslo, Norway, from the 2nd to the 6th of next month.
CEO Choi Seong-an (Vice Chairman) of Samsung Heavy Industries, Sales Division Head Oh Seong-il, and Technology Development Division Head Jang Hae-gi (Vice President) are set to meet with major shipowners, classification societies, and global energy corporations.
Samsung Heavy Industries is also expected to obtain technical approval for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier that applies solid oxide fuel cell technology, which converts chemical energy directly into electricity, and sign a business agreement for a 3-cargo tank LNG carrier.
Nor-shipping is an international exhibition showcasing the latest technologies in the maritime and marine energy industries, held every two years. This year's exhibition marks its 60th anniversary and is expected to attract about 1,000 related organizations and corporations from around the world.
Vice President Jang Hae-gi noted, "We will demonstrate our eco-friendly vessel technology and global collaboration capabilities at this event."
