The T&C Foundation reported on the 30th that it visited the Seoul Dream Village, a children’s facility located in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, on the 29th, providing meal support for the children using the facility and the staff.
Seoul Dream Village is a comprehensive care space composed of a child-rearing facility, a temporary protection center, and a support facility for youth preparing for independence, housing about 150 children and adolescents.
On the 29th, the T&C Foundation operated a food truck called "Bobmeokcha" at Seoul Dream Village, providing wood-fired pizza, cube vegetable steak, yogurt bowls, and fruit juices to 210 children and staff using the facility. Various events, including games and Polaroid photo sessions, were also held during the event.
"Bobmeokcha" is a welfare program established by the T&C Foundation to provide nutritious meals to vulnerable groups and is expanded to serve as an emergency meal support vehicle in disaster situations. The T&C Foundation previously sent the Bobmeokcha food truck to the areas affected by a massive wildfire that struck the Gyeongbuk region in March, providing meals to about 2,000 disaster victims and wildfire extinguishing personnel.
The meal service by Bobmeokcha on that day was made possible through the support of ICG, a global asset management company. ICG conducts community service activities by supporting nonprofit organizations in various countries.
Meanwhile, it was reported that the T&C Foundation and ICG plan to carry out a scholarship program to support educational and medical expenses for 11 talents in the arts and sports among T&C Foundation scholarship students and vulnerable youth.
