Hyosung Heavy Industries and the Seoul Energy Corporation have decided to jointly promote the establishment of liquid hydrogen charging stations, the development of safety standards, the localization and verification of hydrogen charging facilities, and the exploration of joint projects for clean hydrogen generation.

Hyosung Heavy Industries holds the number one market share in the domestic hydrogen charging system market. In 2021, it established a production joint venture, Linde Hydrogen Energy, with gas and chemical specialist Linde, and a sales joint venture, Hyosung Hydrogen. Hyosung Heavy Industries completed its first liquid hydrogen charging station in Gwangyang, South Jeolla Province, in October of last year and plans to construct a total of 21 charging stations nationwide.

Hyosung Heavy Industries' CEO Woo Tae-hee said, “With nearly 20 years of accumulated know-how and technology in the hydrogen charging business, and collaboration with the Seoul Energy Corporation, we will make Seoul a leading city in hydrogen mobility.”
