The operation of the Kia Gwangju Plant 3, which had been suspended due to a fatal accident involving a worker, will resume.

On the 23rd, the Gwangju Regional Employment and Labor Office’s Work Suspension Review Committee decided to lift the work stoppage at the Kia Gwangju Plant 3. Production is expected to resume on the 26th.

Gwangju Plant 3 produces about 400 trucks per day, averaging 1 ton each. Previously, on the 16th, a worker was killed in an accident involving machinery at the plant.

After authorities issued a work stoppage order for some operations, Kia suspended operations at Gwangju Plant 3 starting on the 19th.
