The award ceremony was held the previous day (22nd) in the afternoon at the Hallyeohaesang National Park office in Sacheon, South Gyeongsang Province, with attendees including Hoonsuk Lee, head of the One Division in Gyeongnam, and Director Jungki Ahn of the Ministry of Environment's Waste Management Division.

CJ Logistics has been implementing a resource recycling project that effectively retrieves and recycles waste that tends to be neglected in daily life by utilizing its logistics network.

Since 2023, CJ Logistics has been conducting a project in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, the Korea National Park Service, and POSCO M-Tech to collect and recycle discarded aluminum cans in 22 national parks across the country.

Additionally, the company is engaging in a project that collects paper packs generated in nationwide daycare centers through its delivery network and recycles them into high-quality pulp resources. Recently, the collection radius for paper packs has been expanded to households nationwide.

As a result of these projects, CJ Logistics collected and recycled 119 tons of waste resources, including aluminum cans, paper packs, PET bottles, and mobile phone parts, last year alone.

On the same day, CJ Logistics renewed its agreement with the Ministry of Environment, the Korea National Park Service, and POSCO M-Tech to extend the aluminum can collection project until 2028.

A CJ Logistics representative noted, "It is meaningful to receive the Minister's commendation as a case of realizing a resource circulation structure based on the logistics network in daily life," and added, "We will continue to expand the circular logistics ecosystem across industries and daily life and lead sustainable future ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) management."
