Hyundai Motor is recruiting schools to participate in the 'Future Mobility School' program for the second semester of 2025.
The Future Mobility School is an activity-based program developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, making Hyundai Motor the first private company to undertake such an initiative, aimed at helping young people learn about the development of the mobility industry, including autonomous driving and robotics, and grow into talents who will lead future mobility.
Now in its 10th year, the Future Mobility School has been conducted for 2,720 schools and approximately 110,000 students worldwide so far. This year, it will expand its target countries from the existing five (Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia) to nine, adding China, Vietnam, Laos, and the Philippines.
Hyundai Motor has structured the program in various forms of activities, such as autonomous driving mobility kits, mobility upcycling kits, and future lifestyle planning documents, enabling students to experience the future mobility environment more closely, rather than relying solely on traditional lecture-based instruction.
In particular, this second semester program has been designed to give an early glimpse of changes in the future mobility environment with a focus on hydrogen energy and smart mobility through a revision of the educational materials. Additionally, in line with the global automotive industry's shift from hardware-centric to software-based approaches, content related to the core technologies of software-defined vehicles (SDV) has also been added.
The Future Mobility School for the second semester of 2025, held at domestic and overseas Korean schools, consists of 'A Sustainable Future Life Created by Future Mobility' program for 4th to 6th graders, a short-term secondary program titled 'Evolution Toward Smart Mobility,' and a regular secondary program named 'Future Lifestyle with Mobility.'
Schools participating in the Future Mobility School can utilize related teaching materials in conjunction with curricula (interdisciplinary learning, integrated classes, etc.), free semester systems, career-linked education, and creative experiential activities. Additionally, online training will be provided to teachers operating the regular secondary and elementary programs to ensure they can effectively conduct classes in the field.
Schools wishing to participate in the Future Mobility School for the second semester of 2025 can apply from May 26 (Monday) to June 20 (Friday).
