On the 23rd, DS Dansuk, a recycling corporation, announced that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Korea Energy Engineering University (KENTECH) to collaborate on technology development in the future energy sector.
The agreement aims to promote the development of next-generation nuclear technology through joint research related to small modular reactors (SMRs). Collaboration will include ▲ joint research in the energy sector and comprehensive technology cooperation ▲ exchange of materials and information related to energy technology research and development ▲ joint research on SMR and micro modular reactors (MMRs) ▲ human exchange for energy technology development and research ▲ and other collaborative efforts and support as mutually agreed.
A DS Dansuk official noted, "The research capabilities of both organizations are expected to synergize and contribute to building an energy new industry ecosystem," adding, "We will continue our ongoing cooperation to achieve meaningful results in the future."
DS Dansuk is a recycling corporation that manufactures transportation fuel from waste cooking oil and operates in the bioenergy sector, as well as battery and plastic recycling businesses, recording sales of 961.7 billion won last year.
