Samsung Heavy Industries announced on the 23rd that it has newly established a control tower, known as the 'Integrated Control Center,' that can oversee safety, security, and infrastructure at its Geoje shipyard.

The Integrated Control Center is set up within the HSE building at the Geoje shipyard, covering an area of 198 square meters. It has integrated smart technologies into its safety and security monitoring functions, aiming for rapid response in emergencies, thorough cause analysis, and a perfect preventive system.

The control center can view all closed-circuit television (CCTV) feeds in real-time throughout the yard. Artificial intelligence (AI) CCTV has been installed in fire hazard areas to detect ignition situations. Mobile CCTV has also been installed at high-risk work locations. Aerial patrols using drones will be conducted regularly.
