BMW's motorcycle institutional sector, BMW Motorrad, is set to release the 'BMW R 1300 GS Enduro Pro Edition' in a limited quantity of 8 units in the domestic market. Sales will begin on May 23 at 2 p.m. through the BMW Motorrad shop online.
The R 1300 GS Enduro Pro Edition utilizes a trim based on the R 1300 GS, which is BMW Motorrad's representative dual-purpose motorcycle, optimizing it with parts and chassis settings for off-road riding.
The R 1300 GS Enduro Pro Edition includes a customized 'Enduro Pro Package' designed for the best off-road performance. It is equipped with an engine protection bar, large under-ride protection, and large frame guards to enhance the durability by reinforcing protective equipment for the engine and body, which are prone to damage during off-road riding.
Additionally, handlebar risers that increase the handlebar height by 15mm, adjustable footrests for the rider, and position-adjustable brake and gear levers have been implemented to assist all riders in maintaining a stable riding posture without restriction to body shape during off-road riding.
The R 1300 GS Enduro Pro Edition is equipped with a sports suspension specially developed for the GS model. With a suspension stroke lengthened by 20mm both front and rear, it offers a wide response to various road surfaces, and through the Dynamic Suspension Adjustment (DSA) function, it automatically adjusts damping force and spring stiffness according to riding mode, road conditions, and body movement, providing optimal riding performance and comfort.
Along with this, it is fitted with high-side thick lug-type off-road tires that provide stable traction on slippery terrains such as mud, gravel, and sand, ensuring the best off-road riding experience.
The R 1300 GS Enduro Pro Edition is powered by a latest water-cooled 1,300cc two-cylinder boxer engine that delivers a powerful output of 145 horsepower and a maximum torque of 149Nm (15.2km·g). The BMW ShiftCam technology, which adjusts the timing and stroke of the intake valves, has improved both output and fuel efficiency, while the gearbox is positioned beneath the engine to concentrate weight toward the center of the bike for more agile and stable riding.
The R 1300 GS Enduro Pro Edition supports an 'Enduro' riding mode optimized for off-road riding, featuring Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) that manages situations where the wheels spin, and ABS Pro that ensures stable braking on slippery unpaved roads. Additionally, a variety of features such as LED adaptive headlights, an electric windscreen, keyless ride, and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) are standard to enhance both convenience and safety.
The domestic selling price of the BMW R 1300 GS Enduro Pro Edition is 37.9 million won (including VAT).
