Seoul National University announced on the 21st that it will recruit trainees for the 11th cohort of the specialized program 'Big Data AI Fintech Advanced Specialist Course', which combines artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and fintech technology.
The Big Data AI Fintech Advanced Specialist Course is part of the Ministry of Employment and Labor's K-Digital Training (KDT) project, aiming to cultivate practical data talent through full government funding.
The 11th cohort will operate for a total of 1,040 hours over seven months, from June 23 of this year to January 22, 2026. Among this, 560 hours will consist of theoretical and practical coursework, while 480 hours will be composed of capstone project practicals linked with corporations.
The main educational contents include ▲statistical data science ▲AI mathematics ▲machine learning and deep learning ▲natural language processing ▲AI applications. Professors affiliated with Seoul National University will conduct the lectures, and graduate-level teaching assistants will provide close support.
In the latter part of the course, capstone practicals will be conducted where trainees will work on actual projects with corporations in finance, fintech, and IT. Trainees will experience data analysis, problem-solving, and more as they develop projects with their supervising professors and teaching assistants.
Trainees will be recruited online starting June 2 and will be selected through document screening including self-introduction letters and supporting documents, followed by interviews. Announcement of successful document applicants will occur on June 5, with interviews on the 9th and 10th, and the final acceptance announcement on the 11th.
An information session for the course will be held on May 27 at 3 p.m. in Room 230 of the Asia Research Institute (Building 101) at Seoul National University.
