Italian luxury car brand Maserati won overall and class victories at the ‘2025 GT2 European Series’ round 2 held at the Zandvoort Circuit in the Netherlands on the 17th and 18th (local time).

The GT2 European Series is a driver-centered racing competition that provides amateur drivers with opportunities to compete in racing events with world-class race cars, promoting their growth. The second round, held last weekend at the Zandvoort Circuit, was the first time the circuit was used for the GT2 European Series.

In this competition, Maserati achieved 2 overall wins, 2 AM class wins, and both a win and a runner-up finish in the PRO-AM class.

Philippe Prette from the LP Racing team, competing in the AM class, achieved remarkable results with both AM class and overall victories in the first race. Starting from pole position, he quickly distanced himself from the competitors and finished first with a gap of more than 15 seconds. He also recorded a win in the AM class and a third-place finish overall in the second race.

Roberto Pampanini and Mauro Calamia from the Dinamic Motorsport team, competing in the PRO-AM class, also simultaneously secured overall and PRO-AM class victories in the second race. Starting from the third grid, Calamia quickly moved up to second place, and after receiving the vehicle, Pampanini fiercely pursued the leader and dramatically overtook for first place just before the end of the race, achieving class victory. The Dinamic Motorsport team recorded a runner-up finish in the PRO-AM class and a third overall finish in the first race.

Maria Conti, head of Maserati Corse, the Maserati institutional sector for motorsports, noted, “We achieved magnificent results at the Zandvoort Circuit, which was used for the GT2 European Series for the first time, including 2 overall wins, 2 AM class wins, and 1st and 2nd in the PRO-AM class. Today, we once again proved that Maserati’s racing DNA symbolizes passion, success, and performance, adding a new page to Maserati's motorsport history as we approach our 100th anniversary of racing.”
