The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 19th that the 'May Co-Holding Festival,' which started on the 1st, recorded sales of 179.9 billion won over 14 days.
Sales through online channels such as open markets, TV home shopping, and traditional market online malls accounted for 145.6 billion won, about 81% of the total, while sales in offline channels, including regional sales and department stores, amounted to 34.3 billion won. In addition, sales of Onnuri gift certificates reached 116.5 billion won, and local love gift certificates hit 20.4 billion won, contributing to the expansion of sales in traditional markets and small businesses.
The festival featured special opening exhibitions held simultaneously in four regions, including Sejong, Incheon, Chuncheon, and Naju, along with sales events across the country. A total of 824 small businesses participated, achieving on-site sales of 2.5 billion won.
The top-selling product across all online and offline channels was a summer t-shirt from 10cart, with a total of 200 million won sold. Wonang FN and Yeongju Mashil Food & Health saw their sales increase more than twofold from the previous month.
The May Co-Holding Festival will continue until the 30th. Events showcasing local characteristics, including online planned exhibitions, key department store events, Incheon Hyundai Market customer festivals, Daejeon Munchang Night Market Festival, and Gyeongnam Small Business Sales Fair, will take place during the remaining period.
The digital Onnuri gift certificate prize draw will be conducted until the festival's closing date on the 30th, where individuals can receive between 20,000 won and 2 million won for cumulative payments of over 50,000 won. Additionally, an event that refunds 10% of total payments each week, up to 20,000 won, has been ongoing since the 11th.
Moreover, adding the 'Co-Holding Festival' channel on KakaoTalk will provide prizes, and digital Onnuri gift certificates will be given for verifying reviews of public delivery app usage, with various participatory events continuing until the last day of the festival.
