The Ministry of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and Startups announced on the 19th that it has formed the '4th Government Innovation Avengers (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of SMEs Avengers)' consisting of young and innovative new public officials to derive organizational culture innovation in the civil service, and held a policy field experience and an inauguration ceremony.
The Ministry of SMEs Avengers, which has been operating since 2022, has been engaged in various activities such as policy field visits to innovative venture companies and small and medium-sized enterprises in the root industry with smart processes, as well as networking with other organizations.
Through this, young new public officials who will lead the Ministry of SMEs have been operating with a focus on 'strengthening field communication' by easily understanding policy targets and directly hearing vibrant voices from the field.
The newly launched 4th Ministry of SMEs Avengers consists of a total of 30 members, selected with various considerations including gender, rank, recruitment pathways, and work fields, and plans to be divided into three subcommittees (six teams) focusing on organizational culture, working methods, and public perception.
On this day, the inauguration ceremony included a visit to the glocal commercial district site located in Daejeon, along with the representative company, WingWing Co., Ltd., selected as the glocal commercial district creation team in April, and discussed the direction of alleyway commercial district development through the combination of various spaces and content.
The Daejeon glocal commercial district creation team plans to enhance its identity as a glocal bakery city sought after by people worldwide by utilizing the unique local content of 'Bread' from Seongshim Bakery to conduct bakery competitions and bread pop-ups.
Afterward, each of the six teams shared their plans for innovative activities to be promoted throughout the year and heard participants' reflections, solidifying their aspirations as innovation Avengers.
Vice Minister Kim Seong-seob noted, 'It seems that the civil service is becoming more flexible due to various government innovation activities, including the Avengers,' and added, 'I hope that the efforts to improve working methods and innovations within the organization will gather to lead to changes in policy fields that the public can feel.'
