Doosan Enerbility’s Czech subsidiary Doosan Škoda Power will officially sponsor the Prague Spring International Music Festival.

The Prague Spring International Music Festival opened on the 12th in Prague, the anniversary of the death of Bedřich Smetana, who is referred to as the national composer of the Czech Republic. The festival began with a performance of Smetana’s representative work, the symphonic poem collection ‘My Country,’ at Smetana Hall. The Prague Spring International Music Festival started in 1946 to commemorate the first anniversary of the end of World War II and celebrates its 80th anniversary this year. It is scheduled to take place throughout Prague until the 3rd of next month.

Park Ji-won, Chairman of Doosan Enerbility, met with Petr Pavel, the President of the Czech Republic, at a reception before the opening performance that day. Vice Chairman Jeong Yeon-in and Kim Jong-doo, head of the Nuclear BG, also attended to network with officials from the Czech government.

Doosan Enerbility is participating in the new nuclear power plant project in Dukovany, Czech Republic, as part of ‘Team Korea’ alongside Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power. Doosan Enerbility will supply key nuclear power plant components such as reactors and steam generators. Doosan Škoda Power will handle the manufacturing of steam turbines and other equipment locally in the Czech Republic.
