The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) held 'Korea Day' on the 13th at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo in Osaka, Japan, featuring various cultural events.

At 2 p.m. that day, the official ceremony for 'Korea Day' was held in the RAY Garden (National Day Hall) of the expo. A total of about 350 people attended, including a government delegation led by Minister Ahn Duk-geun of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. National Day events are official events held by the organizing committee on designated days for each country.

Before the official ceremony, a reenactment of the Joseon Tongsinsa procession was held. The reenactment of the Joseon Tongsinsa procession is a symbolic event that reflects on the history of traditional diplomatic envoys between Korea and Japan. The Joseon Dynasty sent diplomatic envoys to the Japanese shogunate, known as the Joseon Tongsinsa.

Throughout the day, programs such as the Korean beauty makeup show and a hanbok fashion show continued in the expo hall. In the evening, the 'Korea Day M Concert' was held at the Osaka Expo Arena.

In the expo hall Wasse (exhibition hall), the 'Korean Excellent Products Exhibition' showcasing the technological capabilities of our corporations was held. This event, featuring 93 domestic corporations and 160 buyers, will run until the 16th.

The Korea Pavilion, operating under the theme 'With Hearts,' recorded a cumulative visitor count of 350,000 as of that day. KOTRA President Kang Kyung-seong noted, 'Starting with Korea Day on the 12th, I hope visitors will fully enjoy Korea's excellent cultural content during Korea Week, which continues until the 17th.'
