Hyundai Motor Group noted on the 9th that the Hyundai Ioniq 9 was selected as the 'best seven-seater electric vehicle' and the Kia EV3 was selected as the 'best crossover electric vehicle' at the 2025 Top Gear Electric Vehicle Awards.
Top Gear magazine is known for providing new car evaluations and vehicle purchase information aimed at general consumers and was founded in 1993 as one of the UK’s top four automotive magazines.
The Ioniq 9, selected as the best seven-seater electric vehicle, is equipped with a 110.3kWh battery, achieving the longest one-charge driving distance of 532 km among Hyundai's electric vehicle lineup. It also boasts the most spacious interior in its class.
The EV3 was chosen as the best crossover. The EV3 offers a one-charge range of 605 km based on European standards and features many conveniences, including a 12.3-inch infotainment system.
Hyundai Motor Group has set a record of winning a total of eight awards at the Top Gear Electric Vehicle Awards, which have been held since 2020. In 2020, the Hyundai Kona Electric was named the best small family car, in 2021, the Ioniq 5 won for best design, and in 2022, the retro Grandeur electric concept car was selected as the best retro electric vehicle.
Kia's EV9 was named the best reasonable vehicle in 2024.
