Samsung SDI announced on the 6th that it will participate in 'Interbattery Europe 2025,' held in Munich, Germany, from the 7th to the 9th.
Samsung SDI has organized five exhibition zones under the theme of InCelligent Life, Always ON. They include ▲SBB 1.5 ▲artificial intelligence (AI) data center ▲prismatic tech hub ▲battery showroom ▲net zero gate.
It will showcase the newly developed battery product 'U8A1' for the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) in artificial intelligence data centers. When the UPS equipped with U8A1 is installed in AI data centers, it can reduce the installation area by about 33% compared to the previous generation product.
SBB 1.5 will also be displayed on a life-size LED screen. It is a product installed with battery cells, modules, racks, safety devices, and air conditioning equipment inside a 20-foot container. It boasts advanced stability with independently developed module-integrated direct injection extinguishing technology.
It will also showcase its core form factor of prismatic battery technology, as well as next-generation lineup including 46mm cylindrical and all-solid-state batteries (ASB). Additionally, it will introduce key ESG activities and achievements such as battery passport development, materials and supplies recycling, and carbon footprint certification.
Meanwhile, it is expected to participate in 'Battery Day Europe,' hosted by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), and deliver a keynote speech.
