Audi Korea (President: Steve Clooty) announced that it will conduct pre-contracts ahead of the official launch of the 'The New Audi Q5,' which aims to set a new standard in the premium mid-size SUV segment. Pre-contracts will be conducted from May 1 until the official launch of the vehicle at Audi official dealerships nationwide and on the Audi official website.
The 'The New Audi Q5' is a full-change model of the all-rounder SUV 'Audi Q5,' which has been loved worldwide, and it is the first SUV model to apply Audi's latest internal combustion engine-exclusive platform, 'PPC (Premium Platform Combustion).' It realizes partial electrification through a high-efficiency MHEV plus system, offering new appeal in the premium SUV market with its spacious cargo space and sporty yet refined design.
The 'The New Audi Q5' is equipped with a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder diesel direct injection turbo engine and a 7-speed S Tronic automatic transmission, producing a maximum output of 150 kW (204 PS) and a maximum torque of 40.789 kg·m, with a combined fuel efficiency of 13 km/l according to WLTP standards. Additionally, it provides excellent fuel efficiency and improved driving performance through an MHEV plus system that allows the motor to actively intervene depending on driving conditions. The adaptive air suspension automatically adjusts the suspension height and stiffness based on road conditions and driving modes, ensuring a stable and comfortable driving experience both in urban settings and off-road environments.
The exterior emphasizes a dynamic silhouette based on premium design balance, featuring a long hood and a forward-shifted A-pillar. The overall length is 35 mm longer than the existing model, boasting more assertive proportions, and the application of S line exterior and Audi sport wheels completes its luxurious yet sporty appeal. The interior maximizes usability through practical designs, including spacious areas, adjustable rear seats, and trunk floor storage. It is equipped with top-tier standard specifications, including heated seats for all seats, front ventilated seats, sports seats, front dual-pane glazing, and memory seats, enhancing customer satisfaction.
Audi's innovation stands out in lighting technology. The front matrix LED headlights, standard on the 'The New Audi Q5 40 TDI Quattro S line Black Edition,' provide excellent visibility during both day and night driving, while the rear digital OLED taillights and spoiler projection lights assist communication with vehicles behind and enhance safety.
The digital stage, designed around the driver and passengers, combines an 11.9-inch virtual cockpit plus, a 14.5-inch MMI touch display, and a 10.9-inch passenger display, providing an intuitive and immersive digital experience, and allows downloading various applications directly in the vehicle through the Audi exclusive app store.
The 'The New Audi Q5' will be released in a total of three trims: ▲The New Audi Q5 40 TDI Quattro Advanced ▲The New Audi Q5 40 TDI Quattro S line ▲The New Audi Q5 40 TDI Quattro S line Black Edition, with various packages offered to widen the selection.
The Advanced trim includes a head-up display, Bang & Olufsen (B&O) 3D premium sound system, and USB fast-charging ports through the 'Tech Package,' while the S line trim has this package as standard. The S line trim includes a 'Light Package' with matrix LED and OLED taillights, a 'Black Package' featuring black design points on the side mirrors, door moldings, and diffuser, and offers various packages to expand customer choice, including the 'Brown Seat Package' with Murillo Brown seats and black headliner, as well as an option to select the exterior color 'Sakhir Gold,' allowing for vehicle configurations that match individual lifestyles and tastes.
Audi Korea plans to sequentially introduce sportback models equipped with TDI engines and SUV and sportback models based on TFSI engines, starting with the 'The New Audi Q5 40 TDI' model.
