Dongsung Chemical began construction of the Indonesian factory in September 2023. It completed trial production in January this year and began full-scale production in February. It has facilities capable of storing up to 1,000 tons of core polyurethane raw materials and has increased production efficiency with an automated system.

The Dongsung Chemical Indonesian plant spans 81,000 square meters and has the capacity to produce approximately 67,000 tons of prepolymer/polyester synthesis and polyurethane resin annually. Its revenue potential is estimated at about 200 billion won, which is three times the production capacity of Dongsung Chemical's existing polyurethane factories in South Korea, Vietnam, and China.

Dongsung Chemical CEO Lee Man-woo noted, "We plan to leverage Indonesia's logistical strengths, adjacent to the port, and its geographical advantage as a hub for the automotive industry to provide high-quality products to customers swiftly."
