The Polestar 2 is back for the 2025 model year. Price competitiveness has increased, and a limited edition new trim has also been added.

Polestar Korea noted on the 30th that the "2025 model Polestar 2 has significantly upgraded its product value while enhancing price competitiveness."

The 2025 model Polestar 2, starting from 43.9 million won, has added a new trim, emphasizing product value with a maximum price reduction of 2 million won on package options, new colors and interior options, adaptive cruise control, and heated rear seats.

Chief Executive Ham Jong-sung of Polestar Korea said, "The 2025 model Polestar 2 maintains the essence of a premium electric vehicle recognized for its design, performance, and safety, while enhancing product value and price competitiveness for broader customer experience. In particular, the new trim, starting at an attractive price of 40 million won, will be an appealing option for customers considering electric vehicles for the first time."

The Polestar 2 "Standard Range Single Motor," introduced to the domestic market through the 2025 model, is equipped with LG Energy Solution's 69 kWh lithium-ion battery. The battery capacity is reduced by 11% compared to the long-range model, but the curb weight has decreased by 5% (1.9 tons), achieving a generous driving range of 409 km per charge with a high efficiency of 5.2 km/kWh.

With a maximum output of 272 horsepower and a maximum torque of 50 kg.m, combined with rear-wheel drive characteristics, it provides a unique enjoyable driving sensation in everyday driving conditions. The price is 43.9 million won (including VAT/subsidies not included), and only 300 units will be sold in the domestic market.

New colors and interior options available

The exterior design remains the same as before, but the completeness has been improved through changes in color and wheel design. The existing Magnesium and Thunder colors will be replaced by Vapour and Storm. The Snow color option will incur an additional 300,000 won charge. The standard wheel design is newly presented as a 19-inch Aero alloy wheel with Aero Insert.

The interior can create various atmospheres according to customer preferences. The animal welfare-certified "Bridge of Weir" Napa leather option adds a charcoal color option in addition to the existing zinc color. Additionally, depending on the interior combination, the center console bezel can be changed in various styles including 3D Etch Deco, Black Ash, and Light Ash.

Changes in option configuration

The 2025 model Polestar 2 has enhanced product value by applying adaptive cruise control, heated steering wheel, and heated rear seats, which are popular among customers as standard features.

The Pilot pack has been reduced from 2.99 million won to 1.2 million won and includes Pilot Assist.

The Plus pack has been lowered from 4.9 million won to 3 million won. It includes a panoramic glass roof, power front seats, WeaveTech seats, and Black Ash decor inlays, Polestar digital key, air quality system, high-level interior illumination, hands-free power tailgate, and double load of rear floor and LED front fog lights and cornering lights.

The newly introduced Pro pack is priced at 1.6 million won and includes 20-inch alloy wheels and Swedish gold details applied to the seatbelts and tire valve caps. For an additional 400,000 won, the 20-inch Graphite Alloy wheels can be selected.

The Performance pack has been reduced from 6.49 million won to 4.49 million won, a decrease of 2 million won. It offers Öhlins Dual Flow Valve dampers, Brembo brakes, exclusive 20-inch performance wheels, performance-specific tires, Polestar engineered chassis tuning, and Swedish gold seatbelts and valve caps.

Pixel LED headlights and Harman Kardon premium sound systems can be selected as a single option, priced at 1.3 million won and 950,000 won, respectively.

Powertrain and price of long-range trim

The long-range single motor and dual motor have the same powertrain and price as before.

The long-range single motor has 299 horsepower and 50 kg.m of torque, equipped with LG Energy Solution's 78 kWh lithium-ion battery, providing a driving range of 449 km on a single charge. The price is 54.9 million won (including VAT/subsidies not included).

The long-range dual motor showcases powerful performance, reaching 100 km/h from a standstill in just 4.5 seconds, with 421 horsepower and 75.5 kg•m torque. Although it features all-wheel drive (AWD), it enhances efficiency by disconnecting from the front motor when peak output is not required, allowing for a maximum driving range of 379 km on a single charge. The price is 60.9 million won (including VAT/subsidies not included).

Polestar offers various benefits to all customers purchasing the 2025 Polestar 2, including a general parts warranty service for 7 years or 140,000 km, free pickup and delivery service for warranty repairs, and a 3-year free connected service.

The 2025 model Polestar 2 is not eligible for government subsidies for electric vehicle purchases as it did not submit a commitment to develop technology that provides charging level information (SOC) to a slow charger (AC). Polestar Korea plans to independently offer a 4 million won electric vehicle purchase subsidy.
