The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises announced on the 27th that it will hold the "Discussion Forum on Policy Direction for Small and Medium Enterprises of the Next Government" at KBIZ in Yeouido on May 12.

This forum is the opening event of the 37th Small and Medium Enterprises Week, a statutory event under the Framework Act on Small and Medium Enterprises, designed to diagnose the current issues facing the Korean economy and present the policy direction for small and medium enterprises of the next government. Small and Medium Enterprises Week runs from May 12 to 16.

The theme of the forum is "Reigniting the Growth Engine of the Republic of Korea." KBIZ plans to analyze the low growth, polarization, and decline in innovation that the rapidly growing Korean economy is facing, and lay the groundwork for the design of government small and medium enterprise policies to overcome these challenges through expert discussions.

Jumoon Gap, head of the Economic Policy Division at KBIZ, will present the policy agenda and key tasks jointly identified by the small and medium enterprise sector and academia.

In the comprehensive discussion, Professor Lee Sang-myeong from Hanyang University will chair, with panelists including Kang Dong-han, chairman of the Korean Forging Industry Cooperative, Seong Mi-sook, president of the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association, Bae Young-sook, CEO of Pachow, Oh Dong-yoon, professor of economics at Dong-A University, Koo In-hyuk, professor of global services at Sookmyung Women's University, Noh Min-seon, researcher at the Korea SMEs & Startups Institute (KOSI), and Noh Yong-seok, head of the Small and Medium Enterprises Policy Division at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
