In his keynote speech, President Hwang emphasized the vision of nuclear energy for sustainable development and proposed a nuclear cooperation model with Africa based on Korea's nuclear power development experience. KHNP promoted the Korean-type nuclear power plant (APR1400) and innovative small modular reactor (i-SMR) on-site.

In Africa, countries like Nigeria, Egypt, Ghana, South Africa, Uganda, and Zambia are pursuing the introduction of new nuclear power plants to ensure stable power supply and energy independence.

President Hwang noted, "Many countries in Africa with unlimited growth potential are showing interest in nuclear energy and particularly want to collaborate with KHNP. Based on our country's experience in achieving economic development through nuclear power, we will do our best to achieve good results in the African market."
