GM Korea announced on the 18th that the initial quantity of the Cadillac large SUV "The New Escalade" was sold out on the first day of contract signing. While the exact quantity was not disclosed, it is reported to be about three months of sales.
The Escalade, first launched in 1998, is Cadillac's flagship model that has sold over 1 million units in the global market. This model is a facelift version of the fifth generation that was released in 2021 in the domestic market.
The New Escalade, as a VIP vehicle, features enhanced convenience specifications for the second row of the back seats. It is equipped with a power open and close door function, allowing the doors to open and close with simple operations, without needing to use hands.
Gustavo Colossi, vice president of sales, service, and marketing at GM Korea, said, "I am very happy to record a complete sell-out of the initial quantity in the Korean market," and noted, "I promise to secure additional quantities and ensure quick deliveries for customers who have chosen The New Escalade."
