Toyota Korea will actively expand its motorsport activities starting with the '2025 O-NE Super Race Championship' on April 19. From this season, the name of the top class in the competition will be changed to 'TOYOTA GAZOO Racing 6000 Class' to actively communicate the brand philosophy and the value of racing to domestic fans.

Starting in 2020, Toyota Korea participated as a cowl sponsor in the 6000 Class with vehicles incorporating the GR Supra design, and this year, it has expanded its participation scope to become an official naming sponsor. This has laid the groundwork for a more direct experience of the philosophy and value of the Toyota GAZOO Racing brand.

Alongside this, the only plug-in hybrid one-make race in Korea, the 'Prius PHEV Class,' will kick off its second season with preliminary rounds starting on April 19. It will consist of a single model of the fifth-generation Prius PHEV, which was launched in Korea in December 2023, and this year, a total of 18 drivers will compete, showcasing thrilling races.

Various customer participation programs will also be operated at the opening round of the Super Race. The 'GR Racing Class,' marking its 9th year, will see participation from 30 teams, including 25 Toyota customers with GR Supra and GR86 vehicles and 5 Lexus customers, receiving sports driving education. Participants will have the opportunity to experience dynamic driving through theoretical education, circuit training, and one-on-one instructor coaching.

A driving experience program for children, the 'GR KIDS SUPERRACE SCHOOL,' will also be held in four rounds during the opening and final rounds. Aimed at children over the age of 5 with heights between 110 and 140 cm, practical training will utilize GR electric karts, and traffic safety education will be provided alongside the fun of racing.

A vibrant 'Toyota GR Brand Booth' will also be set up for spectators visiting the motorsport venue. The booth will feature displays of the GR Supra stock car, GR86, as well as GR photo events, GR RC car racing, and quiz events for the Prius PHEV Class, providing interactive content for all ages to naturally experience motorsport culture.

Additionally, a kickoff ceremony for the second team of the 'TEAM GR Supporters' program, aimed at expanding the base and fostering talent in motorsport, will be held on the opening day, April 19. A total of 12 university students selected will convey the allure of the Toyota GAZOO Racing brand and motorsport through various online and offline activities throughout the 2025 season.

Koniyama Manabu, CEO of Toyota Korea, noted, 'Motorsport is the core foundation of Toyota's pursuit of making better cars,' adding, 'We will continue to strive to share the joy of motorsport with more customers through various events and experience programs.'
