A total of 560,000 visitors attended the 'Seoul Mobility Show 2025' held at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province from April 3 to 13.

Although there were times when the number of visitors easily exceeded 1 million, given the significant reduction in the scale of the event, the Seoul Mobility Show organizing committee considers it a relatively successful event. In fact, the 2023 event recorded 510,000 visitors.

The largest domestic mobility industry exhibition for 11 days provided a showcase for future mobility technologies that have permeated daily life.

The 'Seoul Mobility Show 2025' themed 'Mobility Everywhere, Beyond Boundaries!' reflected the trend that mobility technologies are no longer confined to the road but are expanding into various spaces such as sea and air. Additionally, it intuitively demonstrated that advanced technologies are permeating everyday life through various means of transportation, including electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles, ships, urban air mobility (UAM), and construction machinery.

The event, organized by the Seoul Mobility Show organizing committee (Korea Automobile Mobility Industry Association, Korea Automobile Industry Cooperative) and sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and Ministry of Environment, saw participation from a total of 451 corporations and institutions, proving high interest across the industry.

Notably, three corporations—HD Hyundai, BYD, and Lotte—participated for the first time, drawing attention. These companies, which joined as headline partners, showcased their representation in core mobility areas such as construction machinery, batteries, autonomous driving, and electrification, demonstrating how the Seoul Mobility Show is transforming from a 'car'-centric event into an exhibition that reflects current trends in the 'mobility' industry and suggests future directions.

The exhibition was structured into three main areas: mobility, mobility innovation, and mobility services, allowing for an integrated view of not only complete vehicles but also key sectors that support future industries such as parts, artificial intelligence, robotics, autonomous driving, and platform services, thereby intuitively showcasing the ecosystem of the future mobility industry.

▲Seoul Mobility Forum exploring the global mobility industry

Debuting this year, the Seoul Mobility Forum provided a comprehensive overview of the rapidly changing mobility industry and aimed to promote the Seoul Mobility Show as a platform for industrial convergence by inviting global mobility companies and setting up technology-specific tracks over five days. The Asia Mobility Forum was also held, inviting experts from major Asian countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia to share electric vehicle policies and technological trends and discuss collaboration with Korea.

Starting with keynote presentations from four corporations—Uber Taxi, CLIO Cosmetics, HERE Technologies, and Open Energy—the event featured technology-specific tracks for autonomous driving, UAM, robotics, software, and AI over four days, drawing enthusiastic participation from industry and related researchers.

▲'Future Mobility Awards'

'Future Mobility Awards' expanded to reflect the merging of mobility and generative AI, software, and robotics by consolidating the existing 'Seoul Mobility Awards' and 'K-AI AWARDs.' Criteria for evaluation were based not only on technological capability but also on industrial scalability and future vision, enhancing the status of the mobility technology awards. The grand award in the 'Seoul Mobility Awards' category was won by Autonomous A2Z for its autonomous shuttle 'Roii,' while the grand award in the 'K-AI AWARDs' category was awarded to MBC Global IP Production Team for showcasing generative AI-based content fusion experiments.

▲Autonomous Driving Theme Hall

The Seoul Mobility Show aimed to provide easy and friendly access to advancements and applications in the latest autonomous driving technologies while offering various collaboration opportunities to corporations and researchers in the autonomous driving field by constructing a themed hall with the Autonomous Driving Technology Development Innovation Task Force. This exhibition featured participation from over 200 corporations and institutions, showcasing key electronic components and solutions for autonomous driving in booths themed around transportation infrastructure, AI, data and communication, vehicle platforms, computing, sensors, components, simulation, and ecosystems.

▲Varied Experience Content

Experience content was significantly enhanced, with various attractions at each corporate booth such as Hyundai Mobis' Junior Engineering Classroom and HD Hyundai's 4D Ride welcoming visitors. Outside the exhibition hall, test ride programs were operated for visitors to experience new vehicles and autonomous vehicles from major brands like Hyundai Motor, BYD, and Lotte. Inside, a variety of content and cultural programs were prepared, including the X-ROAD theme hall for car-related hobbies such as racing, tuning, and camping, and the Seoul Mobility Fashion Week.

Commissioner Kang Nam-hoon of the Seoul Mobility Show organizing committee noted, "The Seoul Mobility Show will continue to establish itself as a technology platform showcasing the mobility industry and the latest technology trends, as well as a marketing platform for the public and corporations to enjoy together," adding, "We will address shortcomings from this event and prepare for 2027 with more innovative and developed content so that everyone can see, enjoy, and experience everything about mobility."
