According to Doosan Group on the same day, CEO Kim Min-pyo of Doosan Robotics held a town hall meeting attended by all employees at the Doosan Tower in Seongnam, Bundang, and made this announcement. CEO Kim emphasized the need for significant organizational changes and innovation to achieve results.

Doosan Robotics recorded 468 million won in sales last year. Of this, sales from collaborative robots such as robotic arms accounted for 83%. The company plans to sell this as an intelligent robot solution that can be used immediately after installation by combining it with artificial intelligence (AI) and software, aiming to shift away from being a mere hardware supplier.

To this end, Doosan Robotics plans to apply specialized AI to enhance precision and optimization for individual tasks such as logistics, welding, and coffee production. The company also plans to ensure that operations are based on international robot safety standards to enhance the ease of maintenance of the solutions. Products will be released starting from the manufacturing field institutional sector and will be gradually expanded.

Doosan Robotics will begin large-scale recruitment of relevant research and development personnel from the 21st to enter the practical humanoid business. In the second half of this year, it will establish a new AI and software and humanoid research and development organization and plans to build an integrated R&D center with an optimal robot research and development environment.

The practical humanoid that Doosan Robotics envisions is a robot that can perform tasks required by users most efficiently through optimization of form and function. To achieve this, the company plans to proactively develop technologies such as simultaneous control of multiple arms, collision avoidance technology, and technologies that allow robots to establish their own work plans to perform complex tasks.

In addition, Doosan Robotics will adopt a blitzscaling strategy to drive fundamental organizational culture innovation. Blitzscaling is a strategy designed to break the inertia of existing organizations in rapidly changing markets and intense competition, securing clear technological advantages and market dominance with overwhelming execution speed.

CEO Kim Min-pyo said, "To become a top tier in the intelligent robot market, we must drive product differentiation through technological innovation and provide more value to our customers," and added, "We should mobilize all available resources, including technology development and internalization, securing strategic partnerships, and M&A opportunities, and establish an execution-oriented organizational culture to continue innovation."
