Hyundai Mobis' decision to hold the event in Detroit this year reflects the fact that most recent global orders are concentrated on North American clients. By increasing investment and collaboration with promising local startups and jointly developing superior technology, it has also made it easier to promote products to future clients.

Hyundai Mobis introduced software-defined vehicles (SDV), electrification, and electronic innovation technologies. Along with the business vision, it announced achievements in open innovation and investment strategies. Employees from Hyundai Mobis' North America research institute conducted the presentations, which were attended by more than 200 local clients and startup representatives.

Mitchell Yoon, who oversees investments at Mobiis Ventures Silicon Valley (MVSV), stated, "It is becoming increasingly important to discover excellent global startups and make strategic investments to secure innovative technologies that will lead the paradigm shift in mobility," adding, "This year, we will expand business demonstration support, including technology and business feasibility reviews, and strengthen collaborations for market leadership."

Since opening its open innovation hub in Silicon Valley in 2018, Hyundai Mobis has invested more than 200 billion won in global startups by last year. Representative investment cases include U.S. semiconductor company Microsystems, high-performance imaging radar developer Zenda for autonomous driving, and software platform company Sonatus.
